Education and Development for the Underprivileged (EDU)
In Partnership with Lions Family Welfare Planning Trust
Our methodology consist in providing resources (teachers, training, monitoring, assessment) in conjunction with the infrastructure (hard & soft) that the government provides – in a sense we are connecting “dots” at the “last mile”. Specifically, we plan to deliver basic literacy (grades 1-5), impart training, provide agricultural knowhow for micro land-holdings, nutrition and health care information to ten hamlets (1000 citizens). This knowledge base system will rely upon a hub and spoke system whereby education is being provided through the hub into the spokes. Eventually, as our system grows and the hamlets themselves develop the hub and spoke system will allow for intra-hamlet information sharing. Our “hub” not only serves a nodal facility to distribute the knowledge to the hamlets but also is a convergence point to facilitate intra-hamlet learning. Once we have confidence in the educational value stream we can overlay knowledge stream relating to health care, nutrition, training and agriculture.

Safe haven for our kids
Our hostel serve as a secure and safe hub for orphans and homeless children while they attend school. We provide children with lodging, food, health care, books, clothes, and even counseling, if needed. We have found that even the simplest improvements in facilities and health care can measurably improve our students’ educational achievement. If you are interested in this program, please contact us for more information and contribute through the “Safe Haven for A Child” program.

Our objective is to empower tribal communities in rural India through education, training/income generation, health care and agricultural support using a “hub and spoke” system to disperse knowledge to and between the tribal hamlets communities. We envision the following goals: increased attendance and literacy (grades 1-5), increased agricultural yields, improved health statistics and higher family incomes.
