India Development Service (IDS) is a nonprofit, non-political, and secular organization supporting economic and social development in India .

IDS has long supported the empowerment of those who are disenfranchised including women, children, lower castes and tribal. IDS has supported Sahiyar in Gujarat for consciousness raising and organizing dalits, Muslim women, and slum dwellers. In UP working through Tribal Community Action training camps were conducted on the legal rights relevant to land holdings and forest resources.
