Abstract
This project empowered abandoned women by strengthening their social and economic independence through collective land-based livelihoods, biomass production, and sustainable resource management.
Detailed Description
The project organized abandoned and marginalized women into community groups to help them achieve economic self-reliance and social recognition. By facilitating access to common land and promoting the production of biomass using recycled and locally available materials, the initiative created sustainable livelihood opportunities while encouraging environmental conservation.
Participants received support to manage shared resources, develop income-generating activities, and strengthen their leadership and decision-making skills. The project promoted collective action, enabling women to improve their financial security, gain greater social acceptance, and build stronger support networks within their communities.
By combining livelihood development with sustainable resource management, the initiative enhanced the dignity, confidence, and long-term resilience of women while contributing to environmental sustainability and rural development.
