Abstract
This project improved the well-being of rag picker families through health and nutrition education, women's empowerment, and educational support for children, creating healthier and more resilient communities.
Detailed Description
The project focused on improving the quality of life of rag picker communities by addressing health, nutrition, education, and women's empowerment through an integrated community development approach. Families received education on personal hygiene, preventive healthcare, nutrition, and healthy living practices to reduce illness and improve overall well-being.
Women participated in awareness programs on their rights, leadership, and community participation, helping them become more informed and confident in making decisions for themselves and their families. At the same time, educational support was provided to children from rag picker communities, encouraging school enrollment, regular attendance, and improved learning opportunities.
By combining health education, nutrition awareness, women's empowerment, and access to education, the project strengthened community resilience and created better opportunities for vulnerable families to lead healthier and more secure lives.
