This project supported flood recovery efforts in Kerala by helping rebuild and rehabilitate a school affected by devastating floods, restoring a safe learning environment for students.

Following the severe floods that impacted Kerala, IDS launched a fundraising appeal to support relief and recovery efforts in the affected communities. Through generous donor contributions, IDS raised $7,000 and partnered with Goonj to assist in rebuilding and rehabilitation activities. The funding was used to restore a flood-damaged school, helping create a safe and functional learning environment for students and teachers. By supporting the rehabilitation of educational infrastructure, the project contributed to the community’s long-term recovery and enabled children to continue their education following the disaster.
