Abstract
This project provided microcredit support to low-income individuals and families, enabling them to start or expand income-generating activities, improve financial stability, and strengthen their livelihoods.
Detailed Description
The Microcredit Program was designed to provide affordable financial assistance to underserved individuals and families who often lack access to formal banking and credit services. Through small loans and financial support, beneficiaries were able to invest in income-generating activities such as agriculture, livestock rearing, small businesses, handicrafts, and other livelihood opportunities.
The program encouraged economic self-reliance by helping participants build sustainable sources of income, improve household financial security, and reduce dependence on informal lenders. In addition to financial assistance, beneficiaries often received guidance on responsible financial management, savings practices, and business development.
By expanding access to credit and supporting entrepreneurship, the project contributed to poverty reduction, livelihood enhancement, and the overall economic empowerment of vulnerable communities.
