Abstract

COVID relief funds were used to train healthcare workers in order to provide door to door healthcare services and to implement trainings for 30 grassroots organizations on COVID. They also implemented a helpline to clarify misinformation about the disease and vaccine.

Detailed Description

In the rural areas of Chhattisgarh, Jan Swasthya Sahyog provided comprehensive healthcare services during the COVID pandemic. With support from IDS, Jan Swasthya Sahyog trained healthcare workers to provide door to door healthcare services, implemented trainings for 30 grassroots organizations on clinical and non-clinical aspects of COVID. They also implemented a helpline to clarify misinformation about the disease and vaccine. In 2021, 4,137 patients were treated and cured with a 95% recovery rate.
