Abstract
A rural development initiative focused on improving the lives of tribal communities in Bihar through education, development programs, and social upliftment activities.
Detailed Description
The Vikas Bharati project works in tribal regions of rural Bihar, focusing on communities that have seen very limited development since India’s independence. The initiative emphasizes grassroots development through non-formal education, science awareness, and community-driven change.
In 1986, Dr. Rakesh Popli actively presented the work of Vikas Bharati across multiple cities in the United States, highlighting the challenges faced by tribal populations and the efforts being made to improve their living conditions. The project aims to empower marginalized communities by promoting education, self-reliance, and sustainable development practices.
