PUKAR primarily works in the slum communities of Mumbai. While the COVID lock-down impacted all the mumbaikarians, it affected the poor and migrant people the most. People in slum areas become jobless overnight, and struggling for food. PUKAR utilized IDS funds to distribute food grains to 730 families (3,543 individuals) living in slums of Kaula Bandar, Mandala and Cheeta Camp in a Mumbai suburbs. Ration kits consists of Rice- 5 KG, Wheat Flour- 5KG, lentil- 1KG, salt- 1 Packet, Edible oil- 1liter were distributed to these families.
