An Act of Kindness by our New Donor
Community lining up for the Free One Day Health Camp
India Development Service was privileged to have some new faces at the Donor Appreciation Dinner in November 2026. One of them, Dr. Saket Sinha, was moved by impactful IDS stories and expressed a desire to conduct a health camp for an IDS project in India. He selected the Sayhogi project in Patana, Bihar for this kind gesture.
Dr. Saket Sinha teamed up with Dr. Geeta Gupta, Dr. Vijay Yadav and Dr. Sandhya Kiran on April 3, 2026 to create a powerhouse medical team for a lively One-Day Free Health Camp. The energy was high and the smiles were even brighter during this collaboration between Pran Bjana, Sahyogi, and Indian Development Service at Sarkar Bhawan in Hathiyakandh, Danapur. The camp turned into a cheerful community gathering where healthcare met heart. It offered a safe and approachable environment where individuals could consult qualified doctors, and the community showed up in full spirit.
From the moment registration opened, the buzz didn’t stop. People of all ages - kids tugging at parents, elders sharing stories, and teens sneaking curious glances - lined up for check-ups, blood pressure screenings, and friendly medical chats. A total of 219 beneficiaries received care, guidance, and free medicines tailored to their needs. The camp wasn’t just about treatment; it was about connection. Doctors spent time explaining preventive care, nutrition, and hygiene in simple, relatable ways. The team’s hands-on involvement and commitment to quality care made every visitor feel seen and supported.
By the end of the day, the camp felt less like a medical event and more like a community celebration - one where health, hope, and humanity took center stage. Thanks to the dedication of all volunteers and partners, essential healthcare truly reached the doorstep of those who needed it most. The organizers summed it up perfectly: this initiative stands as a testament to what can be achieved through collaboration, shared vision, and a commitment to community well-being.
With deep gratitude to Dr. Sinha and his team, IDS feels privileged to have donors like him who believe in IDS’ mission to empower the most deprived citizens of India. Thank you, Dr. Sinha!
