The theory behind Agrini is that if rural students have access to relevant high-quality education in their village, they will collectively create an aware and sensitive rural community. In eight villages of the Kurai block of Seon, Madhya Pradesh, an orientation of 12 teachers and 30 adolescents was held. Training sessions were held separately, focusing on value system, value ranking, decision making, and conflict resolution. Students designed their own action projects, such as school energy audits, water conservation studies, and anti-bullying campaigns.
