Project ALFA--Alliance for Liberty, Fraternity, and Advancement--gives opportunities for self-exploration and self-expression to young people from backward districts. 10 students and 10 teachers were selected to participate in this program. Multiple discussions and training sessions touched on gender stereotyping, conflict resolution, and life skills such as self-awareness, critical thinking, and creative thinking. Through the use of a Venn diagram, the skills, interests, and on-the-ground possibilities of the participants were matched to the action projects they had chose to perform.
