IDS funds were used to support Goonj’s work across 27 states in partnership with over 550 organizations in 2021. Goonj provided food kits for over 440,000 families in the most remote parts of the country and over 50,000 medical kits for last-mile health workers and individuals. In addition, they produced over 950,000 face masks and worked with municipalities to convert unused schools into “Not Alone” centers to address the issue of physical distancing for families that lack personal space in their homes.
