During the second wave of COVID in India, there was an unprecedented number of cases and deaths. With IDS’ support, GRAVIS was able to ensure food security and improved access to essential health facilities and services for the rural populations in Jodhpur, Bikaner, Pali, Jaisalmer and Badmer in Rajasthan. They used the funds to provide food kits to 758 individuals and their families. In addition, GRAVIS purchased 150 oximeters for local health workers to assess the oxygen levels of their patients during hospital visits, helping to identify critical COVID patients as well as 4 oxygen concentrators for the GRAVIS hospital, which will help COVID patients for many years in the future.
