Parada works with rural girls and women, providing holistic education and economic empowerment opportunities in Anupshar, Uttar Pradesh, which was very hit hard by COVID-19 pandemic. With a COVID-19 relief grant from IDS, Parada supported over 293 families,  approximately 2,050 individuals, many of whom are migrant workers, single mothers, and subsistence farmers, with food ration kits. Additionally, Parada utilized SMS messaging to provide real-time updates to the local community and provided access to healthcare through their on-site medical center and a mobile health van. They also offered part-time job opportunities for women to earn income while in lockdown in their homes making reusable face masks.
