Utthan

With the support of IDS and other organizations, Utthan implemented a holistic COVID-19 relief program, including community awareness campaigns, providing immediate relief to families in need to ensure their basic needs were met. They also tracked the implementation of government relief packages, and engaged in political advocacy to strengthen governmental representation of the marginalized. Utthan procured relief products locally, leveraged the crisis to benefit local communities by infusing resources back into the local economy. They supported 43,443 families in 228 villages in Gujarat with food kits, masks, soap, kharif seeds, and farming supplies.
