The project aimed to conduct several medical camps in the villages around Shamshabad Mandal in RR district of Telangana state. In these camps, the school children were screened for eyes and ear problems, hypertensive and diabetic population, and providing nutritional foods such as eggs and fruits to undernourished pregnant women. After the first few health camps, the focus changed due to COVID, and resources were spent on Personal Protective Equipment and creating awareness on how to stay safe with social distancing and frequent hand washings. Community empowerment with women leaders and youth working with the Gram panchayats ensured that all of the preventive measures for COVID-19 were in place. Total of 820 children, 600 men and 104 women benefited from the health camps.
