They were nimble to the needs of the community, providing face masks and food rations for pregnant women, individuals with hypertension and diabetes, and daily wage earners. They set up special medical camps and distributed free medicine for high-risk patients and also created a community awareness campaign stressing the importance of wearing face masks, hand washing and maintaining physical distance. Additionally, VASORD provided technical support to local students in accessing online classes, working with collaborative partners to train students on using smartphones for internet access.
