WOTR works in support of children's health and growth monitoring in Madhya Pradesh. The project was implemented in 11 villages of the Pushprajgarh block of the Anuppur district. The project concentrates on improving the nutritional status of the village children by motivating their mothers. The mothers are encouraged to attend village meetings and self-help group meetings. The most important meetings that the mothers attend are those held at anganwadi centers where the women bring their children each month to be weighed. Around 630 children have been monitored for the past year, showing a 48% improvement in the severely malnourished children.
