As many of you are aware, sanitation and pollution problems in India are quite severe. IDS has a number of health care projects on the ground, but we are seeing issues related to waste management confounding our interventions. We need to better understand these issues and develop solutions. To this end, IDS, the Indian Pollution Control Association (IPCA), the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and TERI University are co-sponsoring a one-day conference focusing on waste management. “Waste Management Innovations: Research, Learning and Propagation” takes place on January 15, 2016 at TERI University in New Delhi.
