The Joshi and Moorthy family.
In recognition of the 40th anniversary of IDS, the funds raised from an event held in Pittsburgh in November were donated to IDS. The Joshi family established The Dr. Manohar Joshi Film Series in 2012, in remembrance of Dr. Joshi, a cardiologist and long-time resident of Pittsburgh.   Each year, the Joshi family selects a non-profit organization to support and this year, IDS was the beneficiary of the screening of the movie, “ASTU – So Be It”, at Chatham University’s Eddy Theater in partnership with the Film and Digital Technology Department.  Almost 150 people attended the event and raised over $1,400 in support of IDS and one of its projects, AVNI, in Maharashtra near the hometown of the Joshi family.   IDS appreciates the support from the Joshi family for organizing the event and the attendees for generously supporting this organization. Supporters like the Joshi family are the backbone of IDS and allow IDS to carry out its mission.   Thank you Joshi and Moorthy family and all their guests!
