Save a Mother gives credit to IDS

Ten years ago, seed funding from India Development Service (IDS) helped launch Save a Mother (SAM), an NGO that was the brainchild of Dr. Shiban Ganju. Since 2008, SAM has been driven by a mission to develop healthcare solutions for the poor in India. In this interview, taped just before SAM’s 10th annual gala in Chicago, Jerome McDonnell talks with Madhuvanti Ghose of the Art Institute of Chicago about her recent trip to India. She visited seven of the 1,000 villages helped by Save a Mother and its network of health activists. Click here to listen to the interview.
